The Chinese Ensemble performs a concert of traditional and contemporary compositions, featuring old and new melodies, harmonies, textures, and rhythms.

The CI-UM is the latest of the 300+ Institutes worldwide, which work to strengthen cooperation with China, study the languages, arts, and cultures of China, and increase intercultural understanding with the peoples of China.

The CI-UM is a collaborative effort between the Office of the Provost and its partners in China: Hanban (Chinese Language Council International), and Renmin University of China.
